Duration 90 min
Synopsis
Fat Cows Skinny Cows is an intimate and poignant exploration into the relationships between three men working on a dairy farm in Israel. Eddie, from Thailand, has a young son back home and is in danger of being deported. Ibrahim, a Palestinian from Gaza, cannot return to his family for months at a time because of the ongoing conflict. Yossi, an elderly Israeli man, will soon be unable to manage the dairy farm by himself, and his children have no interest in keeping the place. Fat Cows Skinny Cows not only brings heartfelt individual stories of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to light, but also gives a voice to the countless immigrant workers who are caught between the need to work and the longing for home. Yossi, Ibrahim and Eddie – men from profoundly different backgrounds and faiths – laugh, complain and celebrate their differences together as they fight to keep the frail dairy farm alive.
