Synopsis
"People here are more fractured than their houses", says Dr Elyzée, a young psycholgist from Haiti.Since the earthquake, he sees many persons suffering from a mysterious sickness : loss of appetite, recurring nightmares, prostration, suffocation sensation, panick attacks. They have all the symptoms of an acute post-traumatic stress disorder. Elyzée thinks more that 90% of the haitian population is suffering of PTSD. We've spent more than 2 weeks in Haiti, with doctors and patients, from all social backgrounds... and with a group of french rescuers, who too have been stroken by the same ill.
This documentary shows an immense wound, the wound of a whole nation. And the first case of a psychic catstrophe on a national scale that we have ever known.
