Synopsis
A window overlooks a courtyard. In the window is the sister; down in the courtyard, the brother. The story begins with the sudden death of Udi, the brother. From her studio window, Anat looks down onto the courtyard of their building, watching life continues without him. Eventually the courtyard is sold to a contractor, and is condemned to be destroyed. She continues to film the destruction and the reconstruction stage after stage, until the landscape is entirely blocked from view. A cinematic diary that documents change over time, exploring the process of demolition and building, of life and death in the first Jewish neighborhood was built outside the walls of the City of Jaffa.
