Duration 90 min
Synopsis
The film accompanies the
protagonists during their training to become yoga teachers. Their motivations are as
diverse as the protagonists themselves. The are keen on teaching yoga as their job
gives them too little fulfilment, they long for an emotional haven within the high
performance society, they seek for some balance to their lone office job or they
simply want to enter a deeper level of the philosophy and the life which the different
yoga styles offer.
The film tells us about searching for the meaning of life, experiencing your own body
crossing mental borders – and about life in Berlin. Alongside with learning the basics
of yoga, the training teaches the protagonists to have self esteem and to identify their
personal weaknesses, contradictions, but also their strengths, talents and
opportunities in their jobs and with their families and friends. They all do this by
themselves and in the end master this challenge together. The four Berliners are
watched in this process with cheerful attendance; they are accompanied during
mental and physical exertion. The camera is with them during both emotional
outbursts and moments of situation comic.
