Duration 52 min
Synopsis
With only a Skype chat as dialogue, this film take us into a trip from the heart of China (Tian an men Sq, Beijing) till the heart of Tibet (Jokham Temple, Lhasa) throughout Tibetan plateau, meeting their people and landscape, by train, continuing till Vietnam by buses and hitch-hiking. Most of the footage was retained by Chinese government. With the surviving tapes and the contact maintained through internet this film was born. In a subtle way you are taken into the brutal and silent cracks of reality I meet: the experience of a young Tibetan woman at the uprising before the Olympic games, cultural expressions oppressed in Lhasa, ...
A day by day trip where brutality is not exposed as a explanation but as a poetic path proposing you to create a landscape of your own. A crack is the space created between surfaces due to a violent change, this film proposes to inhabit this space.
