Synopsis
It was on the 24th June 1959 that São João Hospital opened its doors for the first time. After a long construction period, Porto finally had an “end of the line hospital”, a very important step to the communities throughout the north of the country. 50 years later, this documentary series rediscovers the past, it shows the present and predicts what the future may bring to this hospital. The central storyline is based on several patients real experiences that, for many different reasons, had to endure a special health treatment.
