Synopsis
Ciro is a young boxer who lives in Naples, in the old Ventaglieri quarter in the historic centre of the city. The movie recounts the silences, the breathing, the rings, Ciro’s tenderness in contrast to the bluntness of the boxing world. Ciro’s story is a real act of resistance, not only against the difficulties of a life full of premature responsibilities, but also against a State that doesn’t know and doesn’t recognize him. In spite of everything Ciro has a determination to succeed; he loses heart, he withdraws into himself, then finds the strength to get up and start again.
