Synopsis
In 1932 begins the construction of what would be the first studio for
sound cinema and the only film laboratory in Portugal. "Tobis Portuguesa"
portrays the history of a company that has always been devoted
to cinema. After its debut film, "the first Portuguese film made by Portuguese",
"A Canção de Lisboa", Tobis evolved from the "Golden Age" of
Portuguese cinema, to the "New Cinema" period, during the dictatorship
and censorship, through the April Revolution. Given the current
technological turning point where film tends to disappear, Tobis was
forced to develop and equip itself with the latest technology.
