Synopsis
The Roma of Istanbul have been settling in Sulukule since the 11th century. In 2006 the municipality together with a state-owned building company began to destroy several Roma communities all over Istanbul, and eventually the historical Sulukule. The director accompanies the last families living in the remains of their homes, in ruins and shelters. Deprived of any future and deeply depressed, but full of weird humor and peculiar iridescence the people spend the last days of a dying neighborhood.
