Synopsis
The Series Anonymous Majesties, by Guela Produções. Anonymous Majesties is an independent documentary series focused on finding and recording lesser known cultural manifestation from Brazil. The first episode, Vou Vender Meu Samba is yet to gain an international version; it shows the songs and life storie of 93 years old Samba composer Renato Borgomoni, from the city of Santos. Sand from the Sheets is the second episode, and the first to gain English and Spanish translation. For 2010 the series will register the artwork of Ademir Berois, an Uruguayan wood sculptor and former boxer now living in São Paulo’s suburbs. Sand from the Sheets, the second episode. Sand from the Sheets show us the inhabitants culture of an isolated region over the Lencois Maranhenses, in the state of Maranhao, in the very north of Brazil, where values are preserved free from the globalized view on their economical, beliefs, also on simple everyday life activities, where: birth, life and death still offer us some hope.
