Synopsis
In 1910, one year after Sultan Abdulhamit II was dethroned and Jeune Turcs took the lead, it was decided to get rid of the street dogs of İstanbul. The problem was solved immediately. At first, it was thought to care for the dogs in front of the gates of the city. However, it was not anticipated that exiles would resist. That was impossible to live near the dogs agglomerating like chock- a blocked, howling night and day and fighting all day long. People couldn’t stand to look at fighting dogs and everyone challanged to this exile decision. And municipality decided to send all these dogs to the most isolated island of İstanbul which was called as Sivriada (Oxia)
