Synopsis
Through the appropriation of new low cost and readily available digital technologies, indigenous people and youth from the outskirts promote their own visibility in videos, radio, blogs, websites, producing original contents in an electronic media context. During its journey through the metropolitan area of Sao Paulo (Brazil), the documentary presents key examples of the exchange between new technologies and forms of expression of individuals or groups from the outskirts in the arts, music, audiovisual and the Internet. These decentralized forms of communication foster the development of a new concept of participatory citizenship, involving social and cultural sectors historically marginalized by the mass media.
