Synopsis
Having left their poor country lives for their parents, wives and children, the miners go hundreds of metres underground every day to mine for coal, searching for hope in the realms of darkness, but not knowing whether they will live to see another day. When asked about the accidents that occur at the coalmines, many of the miners were very honest about their replies: “If you are lucky you escape disaster, but if disaster does strike, then there is nothing you can do about it.”
