Male Domination
Director Patric Jean
Countries Belgium, France
Duration 108 min
Synopsis
A man murders 14 women, because they've taken the place of men in society. Through this
extreme case and other stories, the narrator subjectively sets out in search of what defines
patriarchy in the Western World. What enables, organises or justifies injustice and violence
against women. Through both funny and heart-wrenching situations, the film explores
without taboos the world of the here and now. It takes us through several different countries
(Belgium, Quebec, France), sketching the outline of a partially questioned male domination
in which man nevertheless struggles to find his rightful place.
Where women still suffer all too often.
