The documentary The Crime That Changed Serbia deals with the phenomenon of a sudden increase of crime in Serbia discussed by criminals themselves. Their testimonies point to the difference between crime as a consequence of war and current events in Serbia, and crime as such. The film analyses conditions in the society through a prism of criminal activities. The particular authenticity of the film is provided by the fact that the majority of the participants in the documentary perished, and three of them were killed while the film was still being filmed.
