Synopsis
The story takes place in Cyprus, 2003, when the Green Line of the divided island opens for the first time after 29 yrs. Refugees from both sides are waiting in queues to pass to the other side and visit their birthplace and houses. While listening to the news Florentia Monoyiou, a refugee from Yialousa, starts getting ready. Her granddaughter comes in for a visit and finds out that grandmother is determined to return home. The granddaughter decides to go along with her grandmother's wish as both share a strong will for the “big return”. This film addresses the issue of refugees’ personal drama independent of statistics and political affairs. It presents personal suffering, human endurance and endless hope.
