Synopsis
In the Kronstadt Russian naval base outside St. Petersburg, an uprising took place in 1921, where soldiers demanded an end to Bolshevik rule. The uprising was quelled and 8,000 people escaped to Finland to Terijoki. The streets of Terijoki filled with shivering refugees. This was Finland's first large-scale refugee crisis. The film follows the adaptation of the refugees and their offspring into Finnish society.
