At the start of the seventies, in a country fragmented by tens of ethnic groups and in the throes of a war for independence, José Carlos Schwarz created the first music group from Guinea-Bissau, “Cobiana Djazz”. José Carlos sung in creole and created a musical form that still unites Guineans to this day. This documentary tells us the story of the poet and founder of modern music from Guinea Bissau who died in an aeroplane accident in 1977, at the young age of 27.
