Entering into the twists and turns of burocracy is an adventure that is virtually comical. Great Expectations gives us an almost tragic, overall vision of the processes of an individual's legitimization in the eyes of the State, showing how our existence depends, from birth until death, on the Institution that organizes life in society and that appears here as abstract and coercive.
