Synopsis
Jakob van Domselaer was a close friend of Piet Mondrian during the beginning of the 20th century and was involved in the creating of the STIJL-movement. From 1913 to 1916 Van Domselaer composed the most extreme music for piano “Proeven van Stijlkunst” (Experiments for an artistic style). Victor Nieuwenhuijs (grandson of Jakob van Domselaer) and Maartje Seyferth draw an impressive image of an exceptional artist and his music and show people that knew him well.
