Fanny Bollstrom is a victim of the violent eviction of the Roma population from Pankakoski in 1956. Now, 50 years later, she tries to find out what happended to her family's property there with the help of her ganddaughter Mirella, who is seeking her place as a representative of a minority in Finnish society.
