Ajudá, Republic of Benim, 1995, Francisco Félix de Souza, Chachá I, died in his nineties in court. His fame as a slave trafficker had reached such proportions that English abolitionists believed that, with Souza's death, the traffficking of slaves would end. In 2004, Francisco Félix de Souza would have turned 250 years old.
