Synopsis
Rarely in the history of cinema has a film production company made such an impact on the history and culture of its country as the Svensk Filmindustri. Thanks to the personality and artistic commitment of its producers, directors, actors and technicians, the S.F. has brought international recognition to the Swedish cinema. Since its creation in 1919 by Charles Magnusson, the Svensk Filmindustri has produced 1200 films including important works by the directors Mauritz Stiller, Victor Sjöström and Ingmar Bergman. The undisputed talent of the actresses Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman enabled the Swedish cinema to conquer the world. This cinema that celebrates the power of nature and where the internal feelings of the characters dominate stays in our memories. Today, Swedish cinema no longer has the grandness of bygone days, but in Stockholm there is a place where the myth continues to exist, this is the former studios of the SF at Filmstaden, the cinema town.
