Synopsis
A mother loses her son for the first time when he is condemned to execution by firing-squad because, when he was completing his military service in the Soviet army, he killed his commander in order to preserve his honour. Three years after that verdict, the Russian President converted the death sentence to life imprisonment. But people get old. His mother is retired and her pension is barely enough for her to live. She gathered together all of her savings and travelled to the far-away prison where he is being held. For the last time? For his mother it is as if it were a second death sentence. And on top of that, a new law was approved meaning that the State has deprived her of the chance to see her son again.
