When young Stansbury was shot dead by police in the Brooklyn housing estate where he lived, his family and friends searched for ways to deal with the pain. While someone pointed out, “the police are waiting for us to revolt”, Terrence Fisher, Stansbury's best friend, preferred to do something else. At 19 years old, Fisher took a video camera and, together with another close friend, Danny Howard, 18 years old, documented the hours and days of tension following the controversial incident.
