Synopsis
The film is made up of five parts, on a strip of Caspian coast. Each part is filmed from a point of view that captures that which is taking place on the beach. Meditative, constant and in synchrony with the rhythm of nature, Five develops listlessly allowing the spectators the freedom to contemplate every single detail. “It is as if I were reciting a poem that had already been written. Does everything already exist? I just observe.” Having the subtitle of “Five Long Scenes dedicated to Yasujiro Ozu”, Five creates itself as a demanding and transcendent object of Minimalist art.
