Wednesday, 19th July 1961. It is summer and the newspapers are full of their usual articles. The world is deeply immersed in the Cold War. 51 girls and 51 boys are born on this day in Leningrad. One of them is the director Viktor Kossakovsky. St. Petersburg, 1995. The city has the name of its founder again. This small difference reflects the huge political changes that have taken place since those 101 children were born. What could have happened to them? How did their lives develop from 19th July 1961? Could this date have tied them to a shared destiny or could it be that they have nothing in common? Starting from these questions, Kossakovsky takes his camera and carries out the huge challenge of locating these hundred other people who have the same date of birth as him.
