Synopsis
The director Ralph Arlyck met Sean when he studied in San Francisco, in the mid-sixties. The city bubbled with the events of the cultural revolution that the USA was experiencing: the city's main University invaded by riot police, bohemian neighbourhoods filled with vagrants and idealists and, on the third floor of Arlyck's building, an apartment where anyone was welcome. It was from the top floor of this commune that the precocious, four-year-old Sean came down to visit and talk to Arlyck – and one day the director turned the camera on. Thirty years, three generations and an entire life later, Arlyck went back to San Francisco in search of the adult that Sean had become.
