Synopsis
Between two lands, we are told the recent story of Aldeia da Luz, a small village condemned to disappear with the construction of the Alqueva dam. As compensation for the villagers, a new village is built on different land, a few kilometres away. The film reveals the village's daily life, marked by a strong sense of rural tradition coexisting with changing prospects. From the first negotiations to the building of the new houses, the film allows us to see the way in which the authorities and the population seek to reconstruct the village's identity.
