Synopsis
Do you know what I see from the window of my house? Bags of coal, lots of bags of coal, seriously, loads and loads... (Sérgio, ballet dancer from Maputo). Lisbon, 7th International 'Dance what is ours' Meet – a month of workshops and seminars about interculturalism and performing arts, organized by Danças na Cidade, with the anthropologist André Lepecki and various guest choreographers. Fifty-four artists bring their culture, body and movement from Indonesia, Burkina Faso, Portugal, Mozambique, South Africa, England or Belgium... Through performance practices, they question themselves about the impass of incommunicability and the crystalization of cultures. They seek to incorporate different experiences of movement. I follow them and question myself, I film and also seek out the images that belong to them.
