Synopsis
For around four months, we follow the rehearsal and research work carried out by the Projecto Teatral group, in various different spaces including the setting for their future show: a room in the Prison da Mónicas, in Graça. From conversations about Beckett and the theoretical basis of their work, in the Prison the group begins to work on their physical treatment of the space, constituted of variations in light and postures, alterations in sound, a search for movement and for the way in which the performers' should occupy the space. Theatre essentially being an ephemeral art, which results from daily work on staging and its day-to-day variations, the film does not present any images of the final play as it is put on, being made up, rather, of a disperse and evocative accumulation of the whole working process, calling on the spectator's imagination to work and elaborate on this. Therefore, (it is) imagine(d).
