Synopsis
The culture in the inland area of North-Eastern Brazil continues to attract photographers, film directors and an infinite number of other people who are shocked when they realise that little has changed there in the last 50 years. This is what happened when Edu Felistoque and Christina Jhonson were filming in Alagoas, they discovered an open-air slaughterhouse and decided to photograph the meat that was left exposed on the ground. And then they discovered that many of those oxen had already been used to pull ploughs and oxcarts, that with the worsening hunger in the North-East they are killed, and thus what was culture became meat in a pan. The film is edited with photos and narrated by those who know the story of the oxcarts. Some photos were digitally altered to highlight the short-film's aesthetic and its character as an exposé.
