Synopsis
Bananal Island, the biggest fluvial island in the world, is in Tocantins, and this film portrays the indigenous ethnic groups that live there. Around 2,500 Indios make up the Island's population, spread between large and small villages. The Island has a particularity, that of having Amazonian vegetation, forests, in the north, and vegetation from the Pantanal, pastures, in the south. This coming together of two types of vegetation is called the equotonal meeting, and creates fantastic biodiversity, with enormous fish. It is also the cause of numerous conflicts.
