Synopsis
In December 1961, around 60,000 Indian Union troops group themselves at the borders of the old Portuguese state of India. The reduced Portuguese military contingent, equipped with obsolete material and with a complete absence of means, prepares itself to brave an overpowering attacking force. Salazar recognises that defense is impossible, but merely states that there can only be “soldiers and marines who are either victorious or dead”.
