Berlin-Sinfonie einer Grobstad
Director Thomas Schadt
Countries Germany
Duration 78 min
Synopsis
In 1927, Walther Ruttmann directed “Berlin, Symphony of the Metropolis”, a film considered to be one of German cinema's great classics, and a fundamental portrayal in order for us to understand the Berlin of the '20s. 75 years later, this homage works with the same concept to show us a kaleidoscope image of Berlin today, keeping some of the dramatic characteristics of the original (such as the organization of each scene in accordance with the structure of a symphony, and the images in black and white).
