Duration 55 min
Synopsis
The story of AZT – the first anti-virus medication made available to patients with AIDS – is a scientific, juridic and human saga around which hope and huge financial interest were formed. This story reaches to the heart of a catastrophy of our era: 40 million people that are HIV-positive do not have access to the treatment that could save their lives. The film confronts statements made by the principal investigators, industry workers and people that are HIV-positive/activits who have made the story of AZT. This rigorous presentation, distanced from historical facts, is placed in opposition with archive images produced by militants fighting against AIDS. These rare documents are loaded with the force of life of a generation revolted by the idea that AIDS represents a death sentence.
