Duration 64 min
Synopsis
Julrai and Umarsar are two small villages in Gujarat, India, devastated by an earthquake in 2001. They have in common the fact that they are both situated in a zone that is highly favourable for mining work, attracting the attention of the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (monopolistic and controlled by the government, but increasingly privatised). The film concentrates on the GMD's attempts to gain possession of the two villages and the way in which the firm takes advantage of the natural disaster.
