Bent Gabrielsen is a Danish goldsmith, a well-respected representative of Danish Design. Through Bent Gabrielsen's own voice, the film presents us with his daily life and work. It is a poetic documentary that illustrates his day-to-day experiences, his manners of working, his childhood memories from the time of World War II and his view on contemporary craftmanship. Bent Gabrielsen has won inumerous prizes and put on various exhibitions around the world. Despite all this recognition, however, he is still a very modest man. He lives in a serene environment at the edge of a lake where silence and nature unite.
