Synopsis
The main characters are a young couple of cuban doctors, that want to leave the island. But the state does not allow it. All they do is think of escaping, because in Cuba there is no place for a future. For six years the authors filmed the two main protagonists while during continuous postponements they try to escape; finally, she manages to obtain a permit for a brief stay in Switzerland. During these weeks, there is an intense exchange of video-letters between husband and wife. The film is based on an overall view of Cuba and Switzerland, between a socialist and a western country, where freedom and capitalism are unable to give the serenity that the young couple dream.
