The Santa Apolónia Fort was built in the oriental side of Lisbon in the seventeenth century. The fort is almost hidden in plain sight and has vanished from the Lisbon tourist guides. Out of site, out of fashion, the Santa Apolónia Fort is history forgotten and on the making, a place of resistance and abandonment. Deconstruction is a reflection on the unstoppable force of the city and the incongruities between what Lisbon is becoming and abandoning in the way.
