Last year Pablo Trapero shot a movie on female prisons: Leonera (Official Selection Cannes Festival 2008), about being a mother in jail. These shootings were a start for our documentary, to penetrate deep into the world of Argentinean female prisons. Slowly, masks began to fall as reality became much more powerful than the best movie script could ever have been.
