Synopsis
The story of 3 women happens in the south of Guinea-Bissau, Empada. Sumai is the mother of Cadijia. Her baby was born at home with her mothers help; they were alone. They keep going alone making the living of a family with 9 children. Safi is the one who tries to find strengths in her illness to give something to eat to everyone, everyday. They walk 13 kilometers to work in the “manchamba”. Helena is 19 and has a son. The father of Emanuel is living in Bissau and left Helena. She fishes to have what to eat in the only meal of the day. Sumai wants to be a football player, Safi wants a new roof and Helena is going to Bissau looking for Emanuel’s father. Dreaming, they keep doing their daily lives thinking in the next morning, and how are they going to have something to eat.
