Synopsis
During the French Indochina war, thousands of Eurasian children were born of an often unknown French father and of a Vietnamese mother. Rejected by both the French and the Vietnamese, their existence as pariahs represented a threat to colonial order. As their number increased, they were naturalized by decree. When the war ended, they were placed in orphanages before being « repatriated » back to France, often against their mother's will.
