Synopsis
The Master Musicians of Jajouka are a hereditary Moroccan brotherhood who play music older than history, but have also jammed with Ornette Coleman and the Rolling Stones. Their friend Robert Palmer was America’s pre-eminent music writer, best known for his book DEEP BLUES and his work for the NEW YORK TIMES. In THE HAND OF FATIMA, Palmer's daughter Augusta travels from Mississippi to Morocco to investigate what happened to her father in 1971, when the Master Musicians and their hypnotic music changed his life forever.
