Synopsis
Žnjan, one of the beaches in Split, was created by filling the coastline with the sand and soil from the sea. It’s not organized like a proper beach therefore is used also as a parking lot which characterizes it as a city beach for not so wealthy citizens. The objects of the film are people on the beach who are filmed with a powerful telephoto lens in everyday situations typical for the beach life. The swimmers, the sea, the cars and boats vibrate in the hotness of a summer day like a moving pointilistic painting. It is as if their slow rhythm creates a picture of their bare existence.
