Synopsis
The Film tells the story of the daily and steadfast commitment of a community of young women in the Lunigiana region of Italy, who took up the work of their grandfathers. This work entails the raising of a particular race of sheep which, up until a few years ago, were facing extinction. As part of this effort, the community has managed to develop a small scale economy which defends the bio-diversity of the area and the dignitiy of the rural world, while at the same time safeguarding a patrimony of manual skill and traditions that together constitute an inestimable heritage.
