Synopsis
The Blue hand describes the creative process of the artist Mathieu Sodore who lives in Lisbon when he is creating a series of big pictures, The Silent Music of the Flamenco Singer, inspired in palos flamencos – types of flamenco songs – which partially show faces.
The objective is to try to capture his feelings, thoughts, doubts and impulses from the first line on the white canvas until he signs his work. It is equally important to capture how painting is not only a visual art but also a sonorous and tactile expression. Moreover, we gradually discover, to what extent, the studio becomes a cell for the artist, a cave and his temple; therefore, the time goes by differently in that place.
