Once you step upon the Russian street in Yining (Xin Jiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China) you feel as though you were taken back to the Russia of the past. Several genuine Russian families live behind this big wall. Right beside them is the cemetery of the Orthodox Eastern Church. According to official statistics there are still over 11,000 Russian people in Xin Jiang Uygur Autonomous Region nowadays. This film is about last Russian clan in Xin Jiang, who’s ancestors emigrated in 19 century. They are trying to keep their own traditions and belief under the pressure of modern Chinese life.
