Synopsis
A man wanders around his apartment; his daughter follows him from behind the camera observing his life as a widow that started three years ago. One evening he is preparing to go to the cinema with his maid Vera, a Ukrainian woman that has become his closest friend and perhaps something more. Vera has left her teenage daughter Halina back in the Ukraine; they haven’t met for 5 years. Halina is in touch with her mother through pictures and short films she makes - visual diaries of her daily life and feelings. Seen only through these images, Halina has become an alter ego of the director, two girls joined by being deprived of their mothers. In order to become closer with Halina the director chooses to take the long bus journey that separates Naples from the Ukraine.
