Synopsis
My name is Liviu Babitz. I was born in Romania, where the communism tried to make people be the same, and moved to Israel, a place where everybody was already the same, Jews. As not being Jewish, me and my family found ourselves living a hard but normal life. I knew that being different is something that I will have to deal with if I ever want to really feel in Israel at home. A quick journey to Romania made me understand that there, between the ruins of a communist society there is no place I can call home. My only way is accepting myself as being different in Israel, that way now I can try and change Israel as it looks at the non Jewish citizens.
